Last week Google released their source code for the Chromium project. This is the project that will become the Google OS. It’s a novel, basic approach to an operating system, geared mostly towards Netbooks and very very lightweight desktops. You log in with your Google Account and are presented with a browser. That’s it.
While the development repository and source code is available to the public, to try it out you still have to build a copy yourself.
Rather than build the image yourselves we’ve put together the image, and it runs on KVM, and in VirtualBox just fine.
